What Is M.Des?
M.Des (Master of Design) is a postgraduate program for graduates who want to develop advanced capabilities in design thinking, design research, user-centred design, innovation and problem-solving.
Unlike undergraduate design education, M.Des focuses on deeper research, strategic thinking, experimentation and solving complex design challenges across physical, digital and hybrid environments.
Depending on the institute and specialization, M.Des can lead to areas such as UX and Interaction Design, Product and Industrial Design, Communication and Visual Design, Strategic Design, Service Design, Animation and Film, Mobility Design, Fashion and Lifestyle Design, and emerging technology-driven design.
Who Is Eligible for M.Des?
M.Des is not limited to B.Des graduates. Depending on the institute and program, candidates from a range of recognised bachelor’s degrees may be eligible.
